1. Using Recipehutch
These Terms of Service govern your use of recipehutch.com (Recipehutch). By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement, or have a parent or legal guardian agree and supervise your use where permitted by law.
Recipehutch helps you save links, extract recipe information, organize a personal recipe collection, and discover recipes shared through the service. Features and source availability may change; we do not guarantee that every website or recipe can be imported.
2. Your account and username
You may sign in through a supported provider or create an email account after confirming your email address. Keep your login credentials secure and provide accurate account information. Contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
New users must choose and save a unique username. Usernames must follow the displayed naming rules, must not impersonate another person, and must not suggest an official role. Once chosen, a username can be changed only through support. We may correct or change a username to resolve a support request, impersonation, or a violation of these terms.
Google, Microsoft, and email sign-ins may create separate accounts even when they use the same email address. Use your original sign-in method to access your saved collection.
3. Recipe imports and public discovery
When you import a recipe link, the extracted recipe may be added to the public Discover section and reused by other users. Duplicate detection may reuse an existing entry. An article containing multiple recipes may produce separate recipe entries that share the same source link.
Your personal collection organization and cooking notes are not published in Discover. Reviews and ratings you submit are public and associated with your username. Removing a recipe from your personal collection does not automatically remove its shared entry or other users’ copies.
Automated extraction, tagging, and serving-size adjustments can contain errors or omissions. Check the original source before relying on quantities, instructions, cooking times, or other recipe details.
4. Content ownership and permissions
Recipe publishers and other rights holders retain their rights in their content, including protected text, photographs, and other materials. A source link gives attribution; it does not by itself grant permission to reproduce or reuse protected content. Importing a recipe does not transfer ownership to you or to Recipehutch.
Only submit content you own or are authorized to share. You retain ownership of your original reviews, photos, and other submissions. You grant Recipehutch a nonexclusive license to store, process, and display those submissions as needed to provide and maintain the service. This does not authorize us to make private notes public.
Do not remove attribution or use the service to bypass access restrictions. Recipehutch branding and original site materials may not be used to imply endorsement or affiliation without permission.
5. Respectful and lawful use
Do not submit unlawful, abusive, threatening, misleading, or infringing content; impersonate people; manipulate ratings; post spam; or share another person’s private information without permission.
Do not attempt to access other accounts, interfere with the service, exploit vulnerabilities, evade usage limits, or use automated requests that disrupt the site. We may remove content or restrict accounts when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security issues, rights complaints, or violations of these terms.
6. Cooking and food safety
Recipe content is provided for general information and is not individualized medical or dietary advice. Check ingredients for allergens and follow appropriate food handling, storage, and cooking practices. Ingredient substitutions and quantity changes can affect cooking times, safety, and results.
Tags, reviews, and automated serving adjustments are not guarantees that a recipe meets a dietary need or is safe for a particular person or appliance.
7. Third-party services and availability
Links to publishers and third-party sign-in services are provided for convenience. Those services have their own terms and data practices, which Recipehutch does not control. A link or imported recipe is not an endorsement.
We may update, limit, suspend, or discontinue features. Maintain your own copies of information that is important to you. If paid features are introduced, applicable pricing and additional terms will be presented before purchase.
8. Account records and support
Recipehutch maintains account information and activity records to operate the service, assist users, investigate abuse, and record administrative changes. Authorized administrators can review recorded activity and account changes. These terms do not replace a privacy notice or any rights you have under applicable data-protection law.
Contact us for account help, username changes, or account-closure requests. We may need to verify that you control the account before acting on a request. Account closure does not transfer ownership of third-party recipes or necessarily remove shared recipe entries.
9. Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service and recipe information are provided as available, without guarantees of uninterrupted access, completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, Recipehutch is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, third-party content, or interruptions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
10. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or request agreement before material changes take effect. Changes do not remove rights that applicable law gives you.
